EXERCISE OF THE MONTH - JUNE - CORKSCREW

This is an inverted exercise, that is where the legs go over the head. It consists of a roll over movement which involves rolling up one side of the spine and down the other and at the bottom of the move, the pelvis smoothly tips from either 3 or 9.o ’clock through 6. o’ clock to either 9.o’ or 3.o’ clock depending on the direction you are moving.

You’ll practice our Exercise of the Month in all our Mat classes.

The Teaser is great exercise to work towards and involves many of the Pilates Exercises such as The Chest lift, Bridge, Assisted Roll up and the Roll Up. Once you can do do all these exercises then you are ready for challenge of the Teaser.
